Bio

I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and have been passionate about history since I was ten years old when one of my American aunts gave me a book on the American Civil War. I hold an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto and a graduate degree in Political Science and History from Syracuse University (Syracuse NY). I held technical and management roles in my nearly forty-year career in the Canadian computer industry before I transitioned to a second career as an English language teacher and tutor.

Now retired, I spend my time visiting historical sites, travelling with my wife to Europe and the United States, reading historical fiction, and working on my next historical novel. As a cancer survivor, I strongly believe that life should be lived with faith and perseverance.
